Michael's & Brandy's Kitchen
On Michael's and Brandy's kitchen we chose to go with Granite tiles. Brandy selected a beautiful gray speckled granite which complemented the existing backslash.
The instillation is fairly simple and was completed in 3 days due to dry time on the glue and grout. The best part of using granite tiles, is that the cost is about 1/3 of solid granite.
When installing granite tiles the thinner the grout line the better. We went with a 1/16 inch grout line in a light gray to pull off the tiles.
We finished the job by applying 2 coats of Urethane Floor Finish with a satin finish on the kitchen cabinets. This is much more durable them regular polyurethane.
