As you can see I started with a blank canvas. Like I said earlier the key to any paint job is Prep work. The first step is to touch every square inch with a buffer sander. WHY ? First of all you erase and imperfections from the previous painter. Second you identify all the problems. When repairing the walls remember you can only fix inney's

What is a inney you ask. Well the easiest way to explain it is a popped nail is a outey. So you must make it a inney to fix it.

After Plastering and then sanding to level the repairs it is time to apply the first coat. Once dyed you RE-INSPECT THE WALLS. Re-plaster any problems, sand and coat with the color again. From there you may apply the finish coat. In most cases two coats will be sufficient. Yet if you are applying a satin finish I suggest three coats to get a even finish.
I choose a blue/gray color for my ceilings. This enhanced the texture in the ceiling giving it a stamped metal feel. Also I custom made my color in a tan/green. As you can see in the pictures the color changes depending on lighting and your angle of view.
