Piling Wrapping & Docks Refurbishing
The proper care of the piling on your dock or sea wall is accentual. This is where the eliminates meet the wood. Combined with the incursion of marine organisms the water is constantly degrading the wood.
The wrapping of the piling is essential. This will not stop the degrading, yet it lessens the effects.
To replace the piling is a very costly endeavor. Yet this product will repair them, plus increases their strength and more resistant to the elements.
Although New restrictions in some areas have categories this repair as structural by nature and now requires a permit. We will be happy to refer you to a local contractor which is licensed to do cement filled repair.
This product can take a piling that is 3/4 rotted and make it stronger then when it was new.
In the pictures to the right you will see that these particular Pilings have been neglected for many years.
After installing new cement filled Piling Wraps on these pilings the client was so pleased he had us restore his 200 foot dock.
There we rewrapped all of the pilings. We also repaired some of the top's of the pilings with the same cement mixture. From there we pressure cleaned the entire dock and applied 2 coats of Behr Premium Deck Sealer by hand insuring no spillage into the waterway. To finish the project we sprayed the underneath of the decking with Thompson's Wood Sealer.
